Our Projects

What We Have Done

The Grossmont High School Educational Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable foundation, the only fundraising organization supporting the entire campus, able to accept large donations and grants. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and 100% of the money raised by the Foundation stays at Grossmont.

Each year we raise funds through our Annual Fund drive as well as host various fundraising events.
In past years, here is a sample of what we have funded:

GHS Educational Foundation Scholarships

foundation scholarshipsBecause of generous Grossmont alumni, retirees, teachers, and community members who have contributed to the GHS Endowment Fund since its inception in 2012, this school year the GHS Educational Foundation awarded five $1000 scholarships, thousands of dollars in teacher mini-grants, and has given yearlong financial support of programs and students on campus.

Each year the Grossmont High School Educational Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors who are planning to continue their education for the following categories:

  • Class of 1975 Science Achievement: For a student who is majoring in the sciences at a university.
  • Academic Improvement: Students who did not start out strong, but improved, and are now planning to attend college.
  • Alumni: For a legacy student who had a parent or grandparent also graduate Grossmont.
  • Art / Music: for a student moving forward in the performing arts.
  • Athletic Obstacle Overcome: For the student athlete who overcame one or more obstacles to succeed.
  • Community Service: For the student who has dedicated time and energies to our community.
  • Seids of Change Auto Shop Scholarship: A $5000 educational grant to help an auto shop student who aspires to complete a four year degree program.
