2017 porchFinally! Getting seats at graduation doesn't have to be a hassle. No more sweating in the sun, obstructed views from blimp-sized balloons,or wandering around trying to find your graduate after the ceremony. Look no further for the best seats available at graduation, because here they are! The GHS Graduation Porch is separate large balcony seating area for 15 people on the first and second floor of the Science Building. The seats alone are valuable with easy access, shaded seating, and unobstructed views, especially when it’s time to stand and cheer for your grad. Welcome Back Foothillers

The School year is off and running and the Foundation is doing it's part! Here are the Principal, School board and others enjoying the foundation sponsored back to school teacher appreciation luncheon!

bts lunch

We have the parent back to school night August 31st - we hope to see you all there! We need some help staffing it also.

Last year the Foundation was able to give out 7 Scholarships to graduating seniors! This year we hope to give out more with your help!

Last year we also provided recording equipment and guitars for the music department, a simulated Earth crust / computer model (super cool - pictures to follow) for the science department, sponsored "Girls Rock," the female empowerment program GHS puts on, Provided 160 movie tickets for star students, assisted on the cost of AP testing, several campus improvements and more!

Get involved this year (Here or Here) and make a difference in the young Foothiller's lives! This time goes by in a blink and you will never regret pitching in and being a part of it.

Foundation Funds Needed Programs at Grossmont

2016 scholarshipIn 2008, a dynamic group of parents, staff, alumni, and community members committed themselves to improving Grossmont High School through the GHS Educational Foundation, a nonprofit 501-C3 entity.
The purpose of the Foundation is to enhance the overall educational experience of the students by raising funds to support the needs of the school. The Foundation encourages parents, students, and alumni to “Take your memories…Leave your footprints.” Appropriately, footprints are the Foundation logo.

Remember – the foundation only works because of volunteers – if you want to participate in your child’s high school experience (it will be over before you know it) and can lend a hand on some project, large or small, WE need several new volunteers for next year and coming years! Pease reach out to Tony Lawrence, GHSEF President by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will find the right opportunity for you to get involved! We need board members, project managers (some are all year, some are a week or two.) We can find your niche! You will never regret being involved with your child’s life and education!
